SOCAR’s Head Office is looking for a “Head of Sanctions and Regulatory Laws Division” for Compliance Department.

Main job responsibilities:
🔹 Controlling the relevant data collection, drafting reports related to anti-trust/competition related compliance breaches and risks;
🔹 Assessing the antitrust/competition implications of the potential merger and acquisitions transactions/ joint ventures;
🔹 Managing analysis of the relevant data received from the subsidiaries related to the licenses and permissions, monitoring compliance with the national laws requirements;
🔹 Managing communication of the relevant policies and procedures to employees and conducting trainings;
🔹 Monitoring changes in the applicable international laws; drafting reports on the consistency of the compliance policies and procedures with such laws;
🔹 Managing correspondence with the relevant state bodies including to obtain the required permits;
🔹 Representing SOCAR in the investigations and disputes involving anti-trust/anti-monopoly issues, licencing and permissions;
🔹 Conducting compliance risk assessment of the relevant business processes.

Job requirements:
🔹 Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Law. An LLM degree in law. Master's degree in law, business administration, finance, procurement is an advantage;
🔹 6 years of work experience as a specialist on compliance-related issues, including at least 3 years of experience of the following:
o  anti-trust/competition law
o  working with licensing and permissions;
o  conducting due-diligence;
o  monitoring legislation, case law, best practice;
o  legal drafting
🔹 Knowledge in Azerbaijani laws on licensing, competition;
🔹 Familiarity with national and international data privacy rules, competition laws, IP and trademarks is an advantage;
🔹 Advanced usage of MS office;
🔹 Strong work ethics;
🔹 Fluency in Azerbaijani and proficiency in English; knowledge of Russian is an advantage;
🔹 Internationally recognised certification in anti-trust/competition law, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money-laundering, sanctions compliance is an advantage;
